Boutique discretionary fund manager (DFM) Amity Investment Solutions is developing two new adviser tools that could significantly enhance assessing a client’s risk and investment suitability.
A new life-based investment planning tool and a suitability assessment tool that will assess a client’s behavioural, personality and risk profiles is set for launch later this year, according to founder and chief executive, Marius van der Merwe.
The tools will be integrated and allow advisers to more accurately evaluate clients from behavioural, risk-capacity and investment requirement perspectives.
Van der Merwe told Citywire South Africa that besides working towards achieving a specific investment rate of return, advisers need to understand a client’s holistic profile – including their behaviour and personality – to help them achieve their goals.
